South Dakota High Court Dismisses Appeal Against Keystone XL

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – South Dakota’s Supreme Court this week dismissed an appeal from opponents of the Keystone XL oil pipeline, saying a lower court lacked jurisdiction to hear their cases. But an attorney battling the project says the “fight is not over.” Groups fighting TransCanada Corp.’s pipeline appealed a judge’s decision last year upholding regulators’ approval for the pipeline to cross the state. Plains-ExxonMobil JV to Build Permian Pipeline

ExxonMobil and Plains All American Pipeline (PAA) plan to build a new pipeline that will add 1 MMbpd of takeaway capacity for Permian Basin crude oil and condensate. The Irving-based oil giant signed a letter of intent with Houston’s PAA to form a joint venture for the project, which would transport oil to from multiple locations in the Permian Basin to the Texas Gulf Coast. ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — The Turkish and Azerbaijani presidents on Tuesday inaugurated a key pipeline carrying natural gas from Azerbaijan’s gas fields to Turkish markets and eventually to Europe, part of a wider Southern Gas Corridor project that aims to diversify gas supplies and reduce countries’ dependence on Russia. Outrigger Energy II LLC has commenced development of a tri-stream midstream system in Weld County, CO. The system, which is anchored by long-term acreage dedications from Mallard Exploration, will include wellhead natural gas gathering, a 60 MMcf/d cryogenic processing plant, field compressor stations, crude oil gathering, and produced water gathering. The processing plant will deliver residue gas to Cheyenne Plains Pipeline, a 36-inch line that offers abundant access to both the Cheyenne Hub and to Mid-Continent markets.
