Duke Energy Moves Ahead with Gas Pipeline Application in Ohio

Duke Energy Ohio is moving ahead with its application before the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) to build the proposed Central Corridor Pipeline, a 13 mile, 20-inch natural gas pipeline designed to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to customers in southwest Ohio. Once finished, the project will connect to an existing pipeline near the intersection of Butler, Warren, and Hamilton counties, and extend to an existing pipeline in either Norwood or Fairfax. New DJ Basin Midstream System to Be Constructed

Outrigger Energy II LLC has started development of a tri-stream midstream system in Weld County, Colo. The system, which is anchored by long-term acreage dedications from Mallard Exploration, consists of wellhead natural gas gathering, a 60 MMcf/d cryogenic processing plant, field compressor stations, crude oil gathering, and produced water gathering. Williams Partners Files Application for Southeastern Trail Expansion Project

Williams Partners L.P. has submitted an application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) seeking authorization for the $404.8 million Southeastern Trail Expansion Project, which would create 296,375 Dth/d of additional firm transportation capacity to markets in the Mid-Atlantic and southeastern U.S. for the 2020/2021 winter heating season. Mountain Valley Pipeline Proposes Expansion into North Carolina

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Developers of the Mountain Valley Pipeline announced plans Wednesday to extend the project currently proposed to carry natural gas through West Virginia and Virginia into North Carolina. A news release Wednesday laid out plans for an extension called MVP Southgate. The new segment would receive gas from the Mountain Valley Pipeline mainline in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, and extend approximately 70 miles (113 kilometers) south to new delivery points in Rockingham and Alamance counties in North Carolina. Agua Blanca Pipeline Placed in Service

WhiteWater Midstream today announced the Agua Blanca Pipeline, a 72-mile, 36-inch natural gas pipeline connecting Orla, Texas to the Waha Hub, commenced commercial operations on April 1, 2018. The pipeline, which connects to the Trans-Pecos Header, will transport 1.4 Bcf/d to portions of Culberson, Loving, Pecos, Reeves and Ward counties in Texas. According to the company, the Agua Blanca Pipeline is supported by over 500 MMcf/d of long-term, firm volume commitments and is expandable to 1.75 Bcf/d.

Subsea 7 Wins Offshore Pipeline Contracts

Subsea 7 S.A. has received pipeline construction contracts for BP’s Alligin subsea development, located approximately 140 kilometers west of the Shetland Islands, and ExxonMobil’s Production Uplift Pipeline Projects, located off the coast of Nigeria. For BP’s Alligin project, Subsea 7 will provide project management, engineering, procurement, construction and installation services for a subsea tie-back to the existing Schiehallion-area infrastructure. Project management and engineering work will commence immediately, with offshore activities scheduled to start in 2019. TransCanada’s NGTL System Expanded Again

TransCanada has placed the Sundre Crossover Project into service in central Alberta, increasing the company’s capacity to transport natural gas on the NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL) System to downstream pipelines and key markets in the Pacific Northwest and California. The project represents an investment of approximately $100 million, and the new facilities provide additional capacity of 228 MMcf/d. The Sundre Crossover Project included the construction of approximately 21 km of 42-inch pipeline in Mountain View County, east of Sundre, Alberta. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has approved Mountain Valley Pipeline LLC’s request to commence the following construction activities associated with the Mountain Valley Pipeline Project: The bore under the Weston and Gauley Bridge Turnpike at milepost 66.9 in Braxton County, W.Va., as authorized by the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management on behalf of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion in Doubt

TORONTO (AP) — Kinder Morgan’s controversial Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project that would nearly triple the flow of oil from Canada’s oil sands to the Pacific Coast was in doubt Sunday after the company announced a suspension in all non-essential activities and related spending on the project.
