Gary Maxwell has been appointed to lead Beta Machinery Analysis’ U.S. operations. As general manager, Maxwell will be responsible for the company’s U.S. based customers involved in compressor, pump and piping design services, as well as field engineering projects. He will also manage the Houston based engineering team, project execution, and other aspects of the business.

Dallas-based Driver Pipeline has added four new management positions with the expectations of additional hiring to come in the near future. Kevin Farley, pipeline veteran and former project manager in Driver’s Irving, TX office, has been promoted to senior vice president of Operations. In addition, Larry Carmin has joined the company as Gulf Coast division manager, along with Ronnie Melton who is the new station division manager/estimator and Michael Norris, Gulf Coast business development manager. Norris is working out of the company’s Pearland, TX office.

Bishop Lifting Products, Inc., a fabricator and distributor of slings and rigging supplies, has opened a new regional office in Oklahoma City, OK. The office will be the one-stop source for servicing the oilfield rigging needs in the Mid-Continent region.  It will be fully stocked with Crosby products as well as a fabricator of slings, such as wire rope slings, web slings, roundslings, chain slings, and Slingmax® high performance slings. The location is also equipped with a 350,000 lb. proof testing machine, laser tag etching machine for making sling tags, a pouring tower for fabricating mast raising lines, and a 20,000 lb. wire rope spooling machine.
  This is the third new branch the company has opened in the past year.

American Sensor Technologies, Inc. has appointed Precision Pipeline Equipment, Inc. as its representative for the oil and gas and process industries in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Western Pennsylvania and Western New York.

Flowserve Corporation and S&A Abahsain Co. Ltd. have opened a new valve manufacturing plant and training center in Dammam Second Industrial City in Saudi Arabia. The 55,000 sq-ft facility offers machining, valve assembly, and testing. The facility is operated by Flowserve Abahsain Flow Control Company Ltd., a Flowserve Corp. and S&A Abahsain Co. Ltd. joint venture.

PSS Companies has acquired Pennsylvania-based North State Supply. The acquisition provides PSS Companies with a strategically located operation in the heart of the Marcellus Shale play, to help the company better serve its growing base of customers in the region.  North State Supply has been a leading supplier to the industrial and pipeline construction industries for over 30 years.  

The BMT Group has opened a new office at 11505 West Little York in Houston, TX (77041). The new office also serves as a base for BMT Fluid Mechanics and BMT Reliability Consultants.

Coastal Flow Energy Labs recently opened its new regional laboratory in La Vernia, TX to serve the Eagle Ford Shale play. The new laboratory will enable its Coastal Flow Energy Labs unit to provide faster, more cost-efficient chromatographic analysis of natural gas and NGLs and support the company’s expansion of natural gas field services as well as hydrocarbon liquid measurement for their central and south Texas customers.
