Dennis Klumb Jr. has replaced his father, Dennis Klumb, as president and COO of KSEnergy Services.
Prior to helping start KSEnergy Services (along with Tom Schaitel, Rick Klumb, Shawn Klumb and Mike Klumb), Dennis Jr. served as president of Arby Construction from 1998-2004 and as senior vice president of gas at Quanta Services from 2002-2004.
Samuel N. Brown joined Plains All American Pipeline L.P. as vice president – Pipeline Business Development, effective October 1, 2009. Prior to joining PAA, Brown served TEPPCO for over 10 years, most recently as vice president – Commercial Downstream and previously as vice president – Pipeline Marketing and Business Development for the Upstream segment.
Atlas Pipeline Partners L.P. has named Eric Kalamaras CFO of Atlas Pipeline Partners GP LLC, the general partner of Atlas Pipeline Partners L.P., and CFO of Atlas Pipeline Holdings GP LLC, the general partner of Atlas Pipeline Holdings L.P. Kalamaras’ appointment became effective on September 14, 2009.
John Michael Paz, owner and president of Godwin Pumps, was recently cited as a member of the Boys & Girls Club of America’s Jeremiah Milbank Society and named to the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Gloucester County, NJ. “Paz’s donation places him in the Jeremiah Milbank Society as one of the top donors to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America,” said Beth O’Connor, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Gloucester County.
The Mississippi State Port Authority at Gulfport has retained the team of Mississippi Engineering Group, Inc., Geospatial Mapping Gulf Coast, LLC (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Geospatial Holdings, Inc.), and Pickering Engineers to provide a program to locate, verify and map all above-ground and below-ground utilities throughout the entire Port area prior to the rebuilding of the Port.
Area utilities were damaged during Hurricane Katrina which made landfall on the Mississippi Gulf Coast on Aug. 29, 2005 and resulted in one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history
Weatherford’s Pipeline & Specialty Services group announced the expansion of its inspection services bases to include new facilities in Villahermosa, Mexico and Larnaca, Cyprus. In addition, Weatherford has upgraded and expanded existing facilities in Houston, Lukhovitsy, Russia and Lingen, Germany to meet the increasing demand for pipeline inspection services. These new facilities, complemented by the existing ones, will better enable Weatherford to provide the following technologies: multichannel caliper, magnetic flux leakage (MFL), transverse field inspection (TFI), ultrasonic wall measurement (UTWM) and ultrasonic crack detection (UTCD) inspection technologies. These technologies and facilities support a global effort to meet both the integrity and compliance needs of pipeline operators.
New tools that have been developed incorporate all of the latest technology needed for the accurate detection and characterization of corrosion, metal-loss, SSC, SCC and manufacturing anomalies. As a part of the continued commitment to R&D, Weatherford also announces the development of a comprehensive and automated assessment software solution, i-Viewsm in-line inspection software, which provides a new way of dealing with different inspection data sets.
Since 2002, Midwest ENERGY Association (MEA) has been recognizing individuals who have contributed leadership and expertise to the energy industry by inducting them into MEA’s Hall of Fame. This year’s inductees were recognized at MEA’s recent 86th Annual Gas Operations conference in Ames, IA. The recipients included Bill Burnett, Joe Groebner and Mark Shill.
Bill Burnett of Ameren UE has served on MEA’s Gas Operations Committee both as a member and chair. He has also participated on the Distribution Committee and attended over 40 MEA events.
Joe Groebner of Groebner & Associates has served as MEA’s Treasurer for over seven years and has chaired both the Gas Operations and Distribution Committees. He has exhibited at the Gas Operations Conference for over 19 years.
Mark Shill, a consultant, has chaired the Gas Operations Exhibit Committee and served as a member of the O.Q. and Gas Operations Committees. He has also participated in over 30 MEA events.

Dave Latto has recently joined ROSEN USA in the position of Area Manager. Latto has in excess of 18 years of pipeline experience including pre-commissioning, commissioning and inline inspection. His experience has been gained throughout various global locations, with the last 10 years in North America, primarily related to ILI services.
TDW Offshore Services AS has named Helene Torjusen to marketing manager. Her responsibilities will include marketing communications, advertising, events and media relations.
