New NDT inspection technologies from Gekko include a higher firepower and channel sensitivity, the longest battery autonomy in its class (up to six hours) and a brighter resistive and sensitive touchscreen that can be used with gloves or under rough conditions. For data management, the device comes with a 256 GB SSD and a new USB 3.0 connector allowing a high-speed file transfer and wireless compatibility for data or screen sharing. The new IP68 LEMO encoder connector makes it compatible with most of the standard scanners up to three encoded axes. The corresponding 3.0 Capture software release includes scan plan features, high-resolution TFM inspection, an improved adaptive inspection feature and new functionalities requested by inspectors. It is available in 32:128PR, 64:64PR or 64:128PR PAUT configurations.

Dräger released its X-pid 8500 portable gas measurement device to the U.S. market. The gas chromatography-photoionization detector (GC-PID) allows selective measurement analysis of pre-determined compounds, such as benzene and butadiene, providing results in as little as 30 seconds. The device allows detection and recording of 19 toxic target compounds with the push of a button. In addition, users can add substances to the target compound database that would allow for detection. The X-pid 8500 includes a streamlined version of gas chromatography analysis that is traditionally conducted in the laboratory and reduces operating costs.

OleumTech offers two new products for the OTC wireless sensor and I/O network: tilt and vibration transmitters. Both devices are designed to monitor equipment health, maximize uptime and prevent mechanical failures. The self-contained, battery-powered transmitters will provide around-the-clock monitoring for detecting anomalies The transmitter features an embedded inclinometer while the vibration transmitter offers an external accelerometer that is mated to the transmitter via a keyed connection. Both devices are certified for use in Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations. The integrated inclinometer delivers a ±90° range, monitoring of Monitor X- and Y-axes. Magnetic mounting hardware is pre-installed.

Ashcroft 1140 Series differential pressure gauges are a budget friendly solution for applications that do not require all stainless steel protection. These gauges feature a sturdy glass filled nylon front case that allows the window to be easily removed and cleaned. No additional hardware is required for either direct or panel mounting. Designed for either liquid or gas media, Ashcroft 1140, 1141, 1142 and 1143 DP gauges offer static pressure capacities of up to 6,000 psi and ranges from as low as 0-10 inH20d up to 0-150 psid. Dials scaled in flow are also available.

ControlAir introduced the Type 480V Precision Vacuum Regulator, which is designed with a push-type locking knob, allowing for smooth output adjustment and the ability to lock in your setpoint to avoid unintentional adjustments. The regulator senses output pressure deviations to within ½-inch water column pressure. Its regulating range is from 0 to 30 inches Hg (-100 to -1.3 kPa). The unit is and lightweight, weighing less than 1 pound. The standard bracket and integral panel nut allow for versatile installation options. A soft valve seat design provides tight shut off and eliminates leakage in steady state operation. The Type 480V is suitable for a wide range of applications, including leak testing.

The Grundoburst static pipe bursting system uses a specially designed bladed cutter head to make bursting ductile iron and steel pipe possible. Six models are available for bursting 2-inch through 54-inch pipes and larger. It can pull in a variety of replacement pipe, including PVC, DIP, ABS, cast iron, fusion-welded HDPE and VCP jacking pipe. Pulled by a hydraulic bursting unit, the cutter head’s special cutting wheels split the host pipe. An attached expander spreads and displaces the split pipe into the surrounding soil while simultaneously pulling in the new pipe. Patented QuickLock bursting rods are linked together not threaded. This saves time, prevents twisting and extends the life of the cutter head over threaded bursting rods.

Tempest 8.4 offers support for industry-standard reservoir simulators, enabling users to convert pre-existing models to run inside the Tempest More simulator. This compatibility is complemented by an expansion of the simulators supported by the assisted history matching and uncertainty analysis tool, Tempest Enable. Simulators, such as GEM or Intersect, can now be used within the ensemble-based Big Loop workflow, to ensure that geologic and geophysical constraints, are honored when matching production. Tempest is an integrated software suite that runs on Windows and Linux. It provides a wide range of reservoir engineering features and is used in hundreds of installations worldwide. All modules can be deployed together or separately within third-party simulation workflows.
