The ROSEN Group debuted a new Aberdeen, Scotland, office, at which it will base at least 20 employees over the next two years. The local integrity team receives support from 160 Newcastle-based employees.


ARB Midstream jointed forces with Vitol US Holding to buy midstream company Red River for an undisclosed price. The companies redubbed their new system the Texoma Crude Oil Pipeline System. It contains and consists of 700 miles of active crude oil pipelines, over 950,000 barrels of working storage, and 25 truck injection stations servicing North Texas and Southern Oklahoma.


Peoples Gas replaced more than 900 miles of aging cast- and ductile-iron pipe as part of the company’s system modernization program. The amount of pipe upgraded so far would stretch “from Soldier Field to the Superdome,” the company said. The replacement effort, in some cases, involved pipe dating to before the Civil War.


GTI won the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) 2018 Innovation Award in the Natural Gas Industry category for its breakaway disconnect/shut-off fitting to enhance gas system safety. The technology was developed by the company with funding from Operations Technology Development (OTD).
