FERC Approves Extension of Time for Pipeline Project

Posted on

FERC has approved TransCanada’s request for an extension of time until and including September 17, 2018 to complete construction activities associated with the Cameron Access Project and to make the facilities constructed available for service.

According to FERC’s Marsha K. Palazzi, TransCanada says that since the start of construction, the project has encountered over 70 inches of rainfall resulting in flooded ground conditions and loss of construction time.

The Cameron Access Project consists of improvements to existing pipeline and ancillary facilities, a new state-of-the-art compressor station near Lake Arthur, Louisiana, and the installation of a new pipeline in Cameron Parish to provide for additional market access to the Cameron LNG Terminal.
