Posted on

FERC has approved DTE Midstream Appalachia, LLC’s request to proceed with limited, non-mechanized tree and woody vegetation clearing activities from mileposts 0.00 to 9.56 of the Birdsboro Pipeline Project

According to FERC’s James Martin, the clearing of vegetation from mileposts 0.00 to 6.08 must be completed prior to April 15, and any remaining vegetation must be cleared by April 30.  Martin added that the company may not commence the trimming of trees along the eastern side of the Leigh Cement Company property.

The Birdsboro Pipeline is a 14 mile, 12-inch diameter pipeline in Berks County, Pennsylvania that will transport natural gas from an interconnection with the Texas Eastern Transmission LP mainline to a new gas-fired electricity generating facility to be located in the Borough of Birdsboro.
