FERC has approved Williams’ request to add 0.14 acre of permanent workspace adjacent to the Greensville Lateral Launcher site associated with Virginia Southside Expansion Project II at milepost 0 in Brunswick County, Virginia.

According to FERC’s Arianne Balsom, Williams intends to use the extra permanent workspace to grade the launcher site for construction and permit safe mowing during maintenance activities.

The Virginia Southside Expansion Project II includes the construction of approximately 4 miles of new 24-inch diameter pipeline extending from the Transco Brunswick Lateral in Brunswick County, Va., and terminating in Greensville County, Va., one delivery metering and regulator station in Greensville County, Va., an additional unit at a compressor facility station in Pittsylvania County, Va and an additional electric motor for an existing Transco compressor station in Prince William County, Va.

The project is expected to be in service in the fourth quarter of 2017.
