FERC has approved Williams’ request to complete in-stream construction activities for Wahoo Creek in Coweta County, Georgia outside the seasonal window recommended by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Georgia Department of Natural Resources, as part of the Dalton Expansion Project.

The Dalton Expansion Project includes 115 miles of new steel pipe ranging from 16 to 30 inches in diameter extending from the existing Transco pipeline in Coweta County, Ga., and providing service to new delivery points in Paulding and Murray Counties, Ga. The pipeline will transport approximately 448,000 dekatherms of natural gas per day.

In addition, Williams will build a new compressor facility in Carroll County, Ga., as well as three new metering facilities and other related pipe and valve modifications to existing facilities.

The project is expected to be operational in Mid 2017.
