FERC OKs More Leach XPress Construction

FERC has approved TransCanada’s request to proceed with construction and/or installation of the following activities for the Leach XPress Project:

  • Benton Regulator Station and associated access road PAR-F-19, and associated workspace variances in Hocking County, Ohio
  • McArthur Regulator Station, associated access roads PAR-F-11 and PAR-F- 20, and associated workspace variances in Vinton County, Ohio
  • R-130 Odorization Site, associated access road PAR-F-13, and associated workspace variances in Jackson County, Ohio
  • R-486 Odorization Site, associated access road PAR-F-12, and associated workspace variances in Jackson County, Ohio
  • R-543 Odorization Site, associated access road TAR-F-17, and associated workspace variances in Jackson County, Ohio
  • Increasing the width and implement a minor curve for the permanent access road PAR-F-6 associated with the LEX1 receiver in Fairfield County, Ohio
  • New contractor/staging/pipe yard No. 62 in Boyd County, Kentucky, and Nos. 63 and 64 in Wayne County, West Virginia

The $1.4 billion Leach XPress Project will allow for the safe transport of 1.5 Bcf/d of natural gas from the Marcellus and Utica supply basin along the 160-mile greenfield project, which crosses the northern panhandle of West Virginia and then traverses southeastern Ohio.
