FERC OK’s Multiple Variance Requests for Pipeline Construction Project

FERC has approved the following variance requests for TransCanada’s Tri-County Bare Steel Project:

  •  Adding one workspace at milepost 8.6 of Segment 2 to facilitate installation of the 4-inch lateral connection
  •  The use of a certificated workspace at milepost 9.5 of Segment 3 to demolish the aboveground structures
  •  The use of the certificated workspace at milepost 9.65 on Segment 3 to demolish the aboveground structures
  •  The use of an additional temporary workspace at milepost 9.5 of Segment 3 to demolish the aboveground structures
  •  The use of an additional temporary workspace at milepost 9.65 on Segment 3 to demolish the aboveground structures
  •  To construct 7 days per week on Phase 2 Segment 2 between Vance Station and Route 19

The Tri-County Bare Steel Replacement Project includes the replacement and modernization of approximately 34 miles of bare steel pipeline in southeast Pennsylvania.
