FERC OKs Widening Access Roads for Cameron Access Project

Posted on

FERC has approved TransCanada’s request to increase the widths of two access roads (AR-0000 and AR-0000A) at the beginning of the West Lateral 400 pipeline in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana as part of the Cameron Access Project.

According to Kareem M. Monib, Environmental Project Manager Division of Gas – Environment and Engineering with FERC, the widening of the access roads will allow equipment to safely turn into certain project areas from the main access road for work.

The Cameron Access Project includes improvements to existing pipeline and ancillary facilities, a new state-of-the-art compressor station near Lake Arthur, Louisiana, and the installation of a new pipeline in Cameron Parish to provide for additional market access to the Cameron LNG Terminal.
