FERC Passes Natchez Pipeline to Replace Midla

Posted on

American Midstream LLC has been approved for its proposed Natchez pipeline by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The project will replace the existing 1920s vintage Midla pipeline with a new pipeline, the Midla-Natchez pipeline, in order to provide safe, reliable transport of natural gas.

The proposed Midla-Natchez pipeline would extend approximately 52 miles from Winnsboro, LA, to Natchez, MS, with approximately 80 percent of the pipeline expected to remain along existing rights-of-way. It will have additional capacity to serve industrial growth in these areas.

Construction on the project is slated to start in mid-2016 with an estimated completion date of late 2016.
