FERC has approved the following requests for Williams’ Gulf Trace Expansion and Virginia Southside Expansion II projects:

  • To place into service the Gulf Trace Expansion Project facilities at the following locations: Gulf Trace Lateral; Stations 42, 44, 45, 50, and 60; and the SPLNG Meter Station
  • To begin Virginia Southside Expansion Project II construction activities at the Greensville Lateral and Greensville Meter and Regulator Station in Brunswick and Greensville Counties, Virginia.

The Gulf Trace Expansion Project involves the installation of eight miles of new 36-inch concrete-coated pipe from the existing Transco pipeline in St. Helena Parish to the Sabine Pass Liquefaction Facility meter station. The project also includes two compressor stations, and adjustments to the existing Transco mainline.  The project is expected to be in-service in the first quarter of 2017.

The Virginia Southside Expansion Project II consists of approximately 4 miles of new 24-inch diameter pipeline extending from the Transco Brunswick Lateral in Brunswick County, Va., and ending in Greensville County, Va.  The project is expected to be in-service in the fourth quarter of 2017.
