Posted on

FERC has approved Kinder Morgan’s request to place into service all remaining project facilities of the Southwest Louisiana Supply Project. This approval applies to new bi-directional capabilities and facilities at Compressor Station 836A in Franklin Parish and Compressor Station 827 in Rapides Parish, Louisiana.

According to FERC’s Rich McGuire, the company has adequately stabilized construction workspaces and that restoration of the construction work areas is proceeding satisfactorily.

The Southwest Louisiana Supply Project will allow Kinder Morgan to provide an extra 295,000 Dth/d of firm transportation service for shippers, which have signed 20-year precedent agreements for a total of 900,000 Dth/d of project service.
