HOLT Texas LTD is taking steps to retain and expand its corporate headquarters campus in San Antonio’s District 3. While the HOLT CAT project remains in the early stages of development, the City of San Antonio and Bexar County are in the process of finalizing incentive agreements with the company. This item went to Bexar County’s Commissioners Court on Tuesday, April 7 and to City Council on Thursday, April 9. City Council voted on an incentive package consisting of a 10-year, 100 percent tax abatement on at least a $20.2 million real and personal property investment. This incentive will aid in creating and retaining 195 total corporate headquarter jobs. HOLT CAT employs 642 total employees in San Antonio.
“HOLT CAT has a long-standing history with San Antonio in corporate responsibility, investment, and notable corporate citizenship,” said City of San Antonio Mayor Ivy Taylor. “Retaining and continuing to foster the growth of companies like HOLT CAT in our city is key to our economic development strategy’s business retention and expansion program.”
In addition to its corporate headquarters, HOLT CAT operates in 118 counties in Texas, including a large presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Nonetheless, HOLT CAT decided to stay firm to its roots and expand in San Antonio, its home since the company’s founding in 1933.
