The Associated Petroleum Industries of Pennsylvania (API-PA), API’s Pennsylvania division, has named Jonathan Lutz Associate Director.
“Lutz’ experience supporting the commonwealth’s conservation efforts, environmental stewardship, and energy growth is critical for Pennsylvania at a key moment for local and state energy policy discussions,” said API-PA Executive Director Stephanie Catarino Wissman. “API-PA will continue to promote the benefits from greater use of natural gas in power generation, manufacturing, commercial and residential markets, as well as continued environmental protection, sound engineering, and safe operating practices. These successes that have positioned the commonwealth as a leading force in America’s energy renaissance have also provided an economic lifeline adding to Pennsylvania’s economy and access to reliable energy sources.”
Previously, Lutz served as executive director for the Environmental Resources and Energy Committee of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives where he participated in all aspects of the Department of Environmental Protection and Environmental Quality Board’s regulatory process. He also worked as a research analyst for the committee, where he analyzed legislation and prepared reports for caucus review. Lutz received his bachelor’s degree at Lebanon Valley College and earned his Master’s degree in Political Science at East Stroudsburg University.
