Fecon® Inc.
Fecon® Inc. is introducing the FTX600 as their new flagship tractor. The company says this tractor brings the best combination of cutting performance, track power, ground pressure and serviceability in the 600 hp class of mulching machines. Equipped with a 600 hp Cummins QSX15 engine, the FTX600 delivers 210 gallons of hydraulic flow to the variable speed mulching head and solid power to the hydrostatic all steel oscillating undercarriage. Fitted with either the Fecon BH300 or BH350 Bull Hog®, the FTX600 can achieve 98-inch cutting height and 32-inch below grade, giving the operator an unparalleled range of motion. The FTX600 is ideal for a wide range of applications including pipeline and power line right-of-way clearing, large scale vegetation management and site preparation.

Cusco, a Wastequip brand, has built Duravac vacuum units for British Petroleum Exploration, a division of British Petroleum, to service its 800-mile Alaskan petroleum pipeline. Designed to perform in off-road conditions and extreme cold weather climates, the trucks were purchased to service and maintain pump stations as well as handle emergency spills along the pipeline corridor. Additionally they can be used for cleaning interceptors, storage tanks and tailing ponds. The company says the trucks meet the requirements of the United States Department of Transportation as well as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for the safe transportation of hazardous materials. The Duravac unit is equipped with a 1400CFM vacuum system, static ground control, self closing heated valves and safety lighting.

Lincoln Electric
Lincoln Electric has developed an easier to use web site, with the objective of enabling respective customers and stakeholders the ability to access and leverage the company’s considerable resources and products. The most notable change to the site centers on navigation. The site now features clearly marked “categories of interest,” ranging from welding equipment to sports sponsorships. Users simply click on these topics and will see a detailed menu of selection options for each. Detailed product pages provide a comprehensive look at product information, ranging from a brief description of each item to more detailed specifications, what’s included and optional accessories. Each welding electrode or wire page features increased product detail. New to the site is a login function that allows users to register with the site to enjoy a customized user experience, including a personalized product wish list that they can save for future reference.

Badger Meter

Badger Meter says it is introducing the first Advanced Metering Analytics (AMA) solution designed for the unique needs of gas and water utilities. The company says the AMA supports gas and water utilities in six major areas: superior customer service delivery, water and energy conservation (specific to water management), revenue management, operations/asset management, government regulation and information integrity. For example, the customer service functionality includes the ability to analyze customer consumption over selected periods. This information can be printed and mailed, or even provided via a customer web portal for easy access. When it comes to revenue management, AMA enables utilities to track consumption profiles of their largest customer and then design alerts to notify them of irregularities.

The new Cat® D6T track-type tractor from Caterpillar delivers reduced emissions, higher productivity and lower operating costs. The D6T is equipped with the Cat C9.3 ACERT™ engine that utilizes the building blocks of ACERT Technology, including the Cat NOx Reduction System and Cat Clean Emissions Module (CEM), to meet Tier 4 Interim emissions standards. The Cat D6T is engineered for day-in/day-out demanding work. Standard electro-hydraulic controls improve precision and response and facilitate installation of the Cat AccuGrade™ machine control and guidance system, which saves fuel and time by helping operators attain specified grades in fewer passes. The D6T hydraulically driven demand fan, operating only when necessary, works in concert with an all-new cooling package and advanced electronic engine controls to deliver fuel savings of as much as 6%, depending on the application. For even greater fuel economy—as much as 3% better—the D6T features an Eco Reverse Mode that reduces fuel consumption when the tractor reverses.
