Weiler Corporation’s Grinding and Finishing Solutions Guide showcases the company’s comprehensive product line, including a variety of flap discs for different applications. The company’s abrasive flap disc offers solutions for a variety of surface conditioning applications—from deburring to cleaning to weld blending and finishing.  With Weiler’s abrasive flap discs there is no need to switch from a Type 27 wheel to a resin fiber disc, grinding and finishing are done in one easy step.  This results in fewer changeovers and increased productivity. The brochure contains selection guides for abrasive flap disc type, backing type and grain type to meet each user’s specific need. 

Swagelok® RHPS series general industrial regulators offer accurate pressure control of pressures from 0 to 5800 psig (0 to 400 bar) in gas and liquid systems, 1/2 to 2-inch sizes. RS and RSH model regulators employ either a spring-loaded diaphragm or piston as the sensing element, depending on the outlet pressure range desired.  The RS model is available with a choice of six outlet ranges; from 0 to 43 psig (0 to 3 bar) up to 0 to 5075 psig (0 to 350 bar). The RSH model is available with a choice of nine outlet ranges; from 0 to 43 psig (0 to 3 bar) up to 0 to 10,150 psig (0 to 700 bar).  The LPRS model regulator, with larger diaphragm, offers tight control of low pressures spanning 1.5 to 43 psig (0.1 to 3 bar), making it ideal for applications requiring a second regulator for two-stage reduction of pressure. Temperature range for all models is -4° to 176° F (-20° to 80° C).

Shortly after Bardex Corporation was contracted to design and build the mooring system for an FPSO a number of overhead cranes were evaluated. Instead of procuring 16 separate chain jack tensioning systems (four per corner of the FPSO and each rated at 18 tons), it was determined that one unit per corner could be used and a system of four overhead cranes used to move one chain jack tensioning system for use in all four corners of the FPSO. Additionally, the specially designed mooring system included sixteen fairlead stoppers each weighing in at almost 25 tons. Since such a system had never been built, J D Neuhaus was selected to manufacture the mooring system. This resulted in JDN providing a hydraulically operated overhead crane with a hoist lift capacity of 18 tons for Bardex.

OmniMetrix, LLC now has several new features for its Computer Automated Test Station (CATS™) product in response to heightened concern about high levels of AC voltage on gas pipelines. These features include real-time AC measurement, an enhanced graphic display of the voltage on the pipe or structure, and the ability to remotely configure older models to accept the new features. The CATS™ can now measure both the pipe-to-soil DC values and AC voltages up to 20vP-P. With the addition of the new OmniScope™ feature, users can also acquire an oscilloscope-type view of the voltage along the pipe or structure, giving engineers and technicians even better remote diagnostics.

The company says it offers features and functions ideal for high-production tube and pipe fabricators in heavy fabrication, agricultural, construction, vehicle and tube frame manufacturing. The RAZOR is designed to improve productivity and quality by consolidating the typical multi-step fabrication process – set-up, layout, manual/CNC machining and end prep – into one easy operation. The unit’s icon-driven touch screen system interface makes operator training and implementation seamless, allowing fabricators to get up and running within hours, not days.
