Intercon Enterprises Inc.
Intercon Enterprises Inc. says the problem of quickly aligning a variety of different sizes of pipe with one clamp and, at the same time, having a sturdy tool that stands up to years of heavy field use has been answered with the INT pipe alignment clamps. With the INT series of pipe alignment clamps a welder can invest in 3 clamps that cover a range of ¾- to 12-inch pipe.  With a heavy duty forged steel design and electroplating for rust and spatter resistance, they are designed to last a lifetime.  The three models are INT 1-3, INT 2-6 and INT 6-12 and cover the respective pipe sizes.

Hobart Brothers Company
Hobart Brothers Company has a new self-shielded flux-cored wire for overmatch welding on API 5L Grade X80 steel pipelines. The Hobart® Fabshield® X90 wire features  low-temperature impacts, ensuring the welds remain ductile and resist cracking.  The wire’s lower diffusible hydrogen designation (6.2 ml per 100 g of weldment) further minimizes the opportunity for cracking. Fabshield X90 wire meets the American Welding Society (AWS) E91T8-G H8 classification and features a fast-freezing slag that allows for consistent vertical-down welding capabilities without the concern for slag entrapment. Available in an industry-standard diameter of 5/64 inch, the Fabshield X90 wire operates on direct current electrode negative (DCEN) and requires no shielding gas, making it highly portable for pipeline job sites. It offers a tensile strength of 101,100 psi. Available in a 10-pound vacuum-packed spool or a 14-pound
Rhino Linings Corporation
Rhino Linings Corporation is offering Rhino Hybrid 11-50, a polyurea/polyurethane hybrid elastomeric coating that has both high tensile strength and good resistance to humidity and substrate moisture during application. Rhino Hybrid 11-50 is a 100% solids (zero VOC) high pressure, spray-applied coating that can be applied in a range of weather conditions, from hot and dry climates to moderate humidity conditions (up to 85% in most instances). The coating is said to set fast, within 3 to 5 seconds, with 55 shore D hardness, 100% elongation and 2,200 psi tensile strength. When used in combination with a Rhino™ primer on a properly prepared surface, Rhino Hybrid 11-50 will protect steel and concrete from rust, corrosion and degradation.

E. H. Wachs
E. H. Wachs has four videos that are available for viewing on its YouTube channel. These videos highlight products and tools designed to help project managers, welding contractors and field machinists estimate production times, specify product and generally learn more about pipe cutting, beveling, and weld prep best practices. Darby Equipment
Darby Equipment has launched a revised Web site featuring its complete line of products. The site displays all Darby manufactured products rendered in high resolution 3D. Each product can be viewed as streaming animation rotating 360º enabling site visitors to see complete views of all products. Visitors can also click on designated spots on any product to activate pop-up callouts describing product features, specifications and advantages. The site is user friendly and is compatible with all portable digital devises so contractors are able to access information on Darby products from the field.

Cortec® Corporation
Cortec Corporation’s VpCI® 637 TOL is designed to provide internal corrosion protection for gas flow and gas transmission lines. The product is said to have exhibited effectiveness against water, corrosive gasses and chloride contamination. It is based on a combination of vapor phase, neutralizing and film-forming corrosion inhibitors that combat the broadest range of corrosive attacks from moisture and condensation, oxygen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and other corrosive contaminants in natural gas. The chemistries of VpCI-637® TOL allow it to provide protection in sweet/sour saturated carbon dioxide/hydrogen sulfide environments.

Miller Electric Mfg. Co.
Miller Electric Mfg. Co. has a new battery charge/jump-start option for its Trailblazer 325 EFI with Excel™ power engine-driven welder/generator. This option adds 75 amps (12/24 volts) of battery charging capability and 350 amps (12/24 volts) of battery jump-starting power to a welder/generator designed to extend runtimes by 50%, reduce fuel use by as much as 35%, reduce noise by 68%, and provide a smaller and lighter footprint for ease of integration on work trucks. This multi-process (Stick, DC TIG, MIG and Flux-Cored) welder/generator also features Smart-Cor™ technology and Auto-Speed™ technology as well as Excel power and Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI)

The new Cat® M318D MH Waste Handler is a wheel excavator designed specifically for use in work areas with limited space. This new configuration, which meets with accepted industry criteria to ensure safe operation and high production when working in close quarters, incorporates significant undercarriage and boom modifications, while retaining the proven features of its conventional M318D MH counterpart: fuel-efficient Cat C6.6 ACERT™ engine, load-sensing hydraulics; dedicated swing pump; heavy-duty axles; stabilizer configurations; and spacious cab with optional joystick

TÜV Rheinland Industrial Solutions
TÜV Rheinland Industrial Solutions (TRIS) has expanded its mobile radiography capabilities, bringing its fleet of inspection trucks to 12. The mobile trucks can go to remote terrains and carry out on-site inspections of welded material and castings, including piping systems, tanks, pressure vessels and steel bridge components. The new units run off inverters and converters and AC power, without the need for generators.Additionally, they are completely insulated and leak-proof, and chemical- and weather-resistant, and a new system dries the film in under 20 minutes, speeding up handling and reporting.

Fecon has introduced the EX55 Support Crawler, a rubber track compact crawler designed as a support unit to the EX300S Drill Rig. The EX55 is built with the same components and maneuverability as the EX300S and is equipped with a drill rod holder, steel/plywood lined locking boxes and fold down bed rails all mounted on a ½-inch steel platform. The EX55 carries all the necessary drilling essentials and can haul supplies and sensitive materials needed in seismic drilling work.

Doosan is adding more power, performance and speed to the 16-ton excavator market with the iT4 DX140LCR-3. The tail swing radius on the DX140LCR-3 is only 5 feet, which results in a tail swing overhang of just 9 inches over the side of the machine, making it ideal for working in congested jobsites. At the same time, the 12-foot-4-inch overall track length provides exceptional stability for digging and lifting operations. An optional 102-inch-wide dozer blade enhances the machine’s versatility and it also features an electronic power optimizing system, which provides optimum power and fuel efficiency via four work modes, auto-idle and machine diagnostics. A maximum speed of 2.9 mph for the excavator provides more efficient movement around jobsites.

Alaska Structures
Alaska Structures has introduced the Denali Building System™ that combines the interior of a fabric building with the privacy of traditional modular buildings. Denali was developed to provide workforce housing and office solutions to the oil and gas, mining, exploration, and construction industries. According to the company, Denali fills the gap that existed between soft-walled shelters, hard-wall trailers and metal flat packs. Denali buildings are 24 ft. wide, 73.5 ft. or 136.5 ft. long, with an interior hard wall system, central hallway with motion detecting/activated lights.
