Interprovincial Corrosion Control Co.

Interprovincial Corrosion Control Co. announced the latest development of the Rustrol® Cathodic Isolator®, Solid State Surge Protector, Model: SSP-ATEX. The enhanced Rustrol® Cathodic Isolator®, Model: SSP-ATEX is now available with optional External Cable Terminations, and has been certified by SGS Baseefa Limited.  The Rustrol® Cathodic Isolator®, Model: SSP-ATEX is CE listed, ATEX/IECEx Certified and to the best of our knowledge the only product of its type to be certified under the European Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX) and IECEx Scheme for intended use in Gas and Dust Explosive Atmospheres (i.e. Zone 2 and Zone 22).  The Rustrol® Cathodic lsolator®, Model: SSP-ATEX is typically provided with Standard Internal Terminal Pads complete with termination lugs. For the standard Internal Terminal Pads design, ICCC recommends the “End-User” to utilize “ATEX/IECEx” certified Cable Glands with the ingress protection of at least IP66 and the cable gland should provide cable restraint.

The ATEX/IECEx certified Rustrol® Cathodic lsolator®, Model: SSP-ATEX is available with External Cable Termination Options, as follows:

– 1STD, Two (2) External Terminal Pads, 1 Bolt Pattern; Type – 1STD, complete with stainless steel nut, bolt and lock washer. Example of Cable Termination Order Code: SSP-07-SL-0202-A48-ATEX-1STD.

– 2IL, Two (2) External Terminal Pads, 2 Bolt Pattern, NEMA 2 ln-Line; Type – 2IL, complete with stainless steel nut, bolt and lock washer.

– 2STD, Two (2) External Terminal Pads, 2 Bolt Pattern Compact 2; Type – 2STD, complete with stainless steel nut, bolt and lock washer.

4STD, Two (2) External Terminal Pads, 4 Bolt Pattern Compact 4; Type – 4STD, complete with stainless steel nut, bolt and lock washer.

CASE Construction Equipment

CASE Construction Equipment has introduced two new crawler excavators to its D Series lineup: the CX130D and CX160D. These new models are designed to provide significant operational gains, including cycle times up to 5 percent faster, improved responsiveness and multifunctional controls, and up to 8 percent greater fuel efficiency. The CX130D and CX160D’s new electronically controlled hydraulic pump and larger control and solenoid valves boost breakout forces, increase lifting strength and improve responsiveness. Each model also offers more standard features than previous CASE excavators, simplifying the buying process and making them extremely versatile and operator friendly. All CASE D Series excavators provide peace of mind and lower total cost of ownership through CASE ProCare™.  The CX130D and CX160D employ an SCR Tier 4 Final solution that provides up to 8 percent greater fuel efficiency without sacrificing power. SCR lets the engine run at peak performance throughout the work cycle and, because it works without a diesel particulate filter (DPF), there’s no DPF regeneration or associated lifetime service costs. This helps maximize uptime and performance – all with minimal maintenance.

Polyflow LLC

Polyflow recently introduced Thermoflex® PE, a lightweight, easy-to-install polyethylene pipe for cold weather climates. Production of Thermoflex PE is underway and will initially be available in 4-inch (750 psi max) and 4.5-inch (500 psi max) sizes. According to the company, with Thermoflex PE, operators in cold environments can benefit from its resistance to corrosion and cyclical loading. This allows oil and gas exploration and production companies in the Bakken and other northern regions to get wells flowing faster for increased profitability while enhancing safety, reliability and longevity.

High Pressure Equipment

High Pressure Equipment (HiP) introduces a trunion style block and bleed ball valve for calibration applications to 15,000 psi. This new ball valve is designed to provide double-positive isolation and is an excellent method to block and bleed high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems used for pressure monitoring and test, chemical injection and drain line isolation. This full port, quarter turn double ball valve features 316 stainless steel construction. They are available in .203-, .250-, .313- and .375-inch orifices and will accommodate 3/8-, 9/16-, ¾-, ¼- NPT, 3/8-inch NPT and ½-inch NPT tube sizes. The vent port is ¼- inch FNPT.

Smith Flow Control Ltd.

The new Bajolock® coupling from Smith Flow Control protects against accidents when opening couplings under pressure. The device is ideal for a wide range of applications including oil and gas, petrochemical and pipelines. When opened, Bajolock couplings automatically catch any dangerous residual pressure and discharge it safely away from the worker. When no potentially harmful pressure exists, the couplings can be operated normally with a simple twist. The Bajolock coupling is designed for use in transfer systems for pressures up to 145 psi. It is manufactured according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive and CE approved. Bajolock is constructed from 316L stainless steel for high corrosion resistance. 

Inline Services

Inline’s polyurethane spheres are ideal for removing liquids from wet gas systems, product separation, hydrostatic line testing and wax control in crude oil pipelines. Our spheres are manufactured of high quality polyurethane for lasting service in the worst conditions. Inflatable spheres, 12-inch and larger are designed with two filling holes to ensure complete removal of the air inside the sphere. Spheres can also be manufactured out of medium and hard-density foam, coated in various polyurethane coatings and even equipped with brushes.
