Obituary: Royce R. Heebner

Royce Reiff Heebner, 79, of Landenberg, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 20, surrounded by his loving family at home. Born October 5, 1935 in Norristown, he was the son of the late Lloyd A. and Florence Reiff Heebner, of Worcester PA. He was a graduate of Norristown High School. After being raised on and working the family farm he enlisted in the Army, where he served most of his time in Okinawa, Japan. After returning from Japan he went to work as a laborer for Henkels & McCoy, rising to the position of Vice President in charge of the East Coast. After 35 years he retired from Henkels & McCoy and went on to become President of Mid-Atlantic Pipeline, a division of MRM Corp. During his time with Mid-Atlantic, he became the President of the American Gas Association located in Taian, China. Royce also served as President and Past President of the Distribution Contractors Association. He retired from Infra-Source, a division of the Exelon Corp. at the age of 70. Royces work afforded him and Susan many opportunities for travel to destinations such as Iran, Australia, China and Europe, as well as all over the U.S., including Hawaii. He was a life-time member of the Central Schwenkfelder Church in Worcester, PA and in the most recent years, attended Oxford Presbyterian Church in Oxford, PA. Royce was a member of Warren Lodge.
