Pipeline Construction Project Request Approved

FERC has approved Enbridge’s request to use 0.57 acre of additional temporary workspace, of which 0.11 acre will be retained for permanent easement, near milepost 617.5 on the Wheelersburg to Athens Loop to install and maintain a linear anode bed as part of the Lebanon Extension Project.

According to FERC’s Elaine Baum, Enbridge states that unforeseen site conditions prevented implementation of the previously proposed deep well anode and original cathodic protection plan.

Once completed, the Lebanon Extension Project will allow shippers to transport new natural gas supplies from the Appalachian region to markets in the midwestern United States.
