Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG has completed the first phase of road infrastructure rehabilitation in Albania, comprising the upgrade of approximately 36 miles of access roads, construction of two new bridges and refurbishment of 40 bridges. Work lasted a year and a half and was conducted by the joint venture formed by Gener 2 Sh.p.K and Sicilsaldo S.p.A.
“I want to congratulate all those who contributed to this success, Karl Roberts, TAP Project Manager for Albania said. “Despite a complex and challenging geography, works were completed on time, on budget and, above all, to the highest safety standards.”
A second phase of road upgrades, consisting of approximately 75 miles of roads, will be constructed by TAP’s Engineering, Procurement and Construction Pipeline contractor Spiecapag.
