FERC has approved Williams’ request to add 0.1-acre of additional temporary workspace within the company’s environmental survey area in Brunswick County, Virginia as part of the Virginia Southside Expansion Project II.

According to FERC’s Arianne Balsom, the additional temporary workspace will allow Williams to construct a temporary dewatering structure for hydrostatic test water and trench dewatering discharge activities.

The Virginia Southside Expansion Project II consists of the construction of approximately 4 miles of new 24-inch diameter pipeline extending from the Transco Brunswick Lateral in Brunswick County, Va., and terminating in Greensville County, Va., one delivery metering and regulator station in Greensville County, Va., an additional unit at a compressor facility station in Pittsylvania County, Va and an additional electric motor for an existing Transco compressor station in Prince William County, Va.

The project is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2017.
